Ecological sustainability is the second theme of our project.
It consists of three paths: recycling, growing and transportation paths
Recycling path
Shopping trolley research
Each country is asked to make a detailed quantified assessment of their own consumption habits by answering a questionnaire every week for a month.
Final product: posters which compare the shopping trolleys in order to encourage sorting the waste and developing the sustainable behavior of the consumer.
Time capsule
Each country is asked to leave a testimony of the present as well as one’s expectations for the future.
Final product: Writing personal letters and finding articles about several topics from October 2018 to April 2019. The contents will be put in a box that will be presented to the partners, then it will be sealed and put in a “time capsule”. That “time capsule “ will be buried during a ceremony with a plaque on it saying :“not to be opened before 2030 “.
Growing path
Each country is asked to list the varieties of the local medicinal plants and take 3 species : two of each country and a very common and wrongly appreciated one in the four countries: Plantago major, grand plantain. Each partner will take photos of the different steps of the growth of the three species.
Final product: Each country is asked to make a booklet like an ‘herbier” (comparing the different growing of each seed in each country) with the photos and the technical sheets.
Transportation path
Pictures before/after urbanisation
Each country is asked to watch the evolution of the local sights / landscapes from the second half of 20th century to today.
Final product: students will make poster with pictures.
Green week
Each country is asked to make the pupils and the school aware of the protection of the environment through a series of daily actions, e.g. walking/cycling to school, holding a recycling competition and making vegetarian meals.
Final product: writing a report with pictures of the event.
